Twin Lakes State Park announces upcoming events for the week:

Thursday, May 8, meet near the Concession Stand for these events: 2 p.m., “Creature Feature-Snakes” – meet an interpreter at the Interpretive Circle and learn all about snakes; 4 p.m., “Crafty Camper – Sunshine Magic” – learn about the sun and photography, $2 per person or $6 per family;

Friday, May 9, 11 a.m. “Nature Quest” – a nature inspired scavenger hunt, meet in the Interpretive Circle; 12:30 p.m. “Creature Feature” – meet at the nature nook to learn about owls. 5 p.m., “Leave No Trace” – learn how to be a green outdoorsman; 7:30 p.m., “Meet New Friends Campfire” – make new friends at the park, sing songs and enjoy s’mores;

Saturday, May 10, meet at the Interpretive circle, 10 a.m. “Geocaching 101” – an adventurous hike to find treasure stashed away in the park; noon, “Skin and Bones” – learn about animals in the park, meet at the Interpretive Circle; 2 p.m., “Crafty Campers-Bird Feeders” Love Birds? – meet in the Nature Nook to make a bird feeder, $2 per person or $6 per family; 4 p.m., “Gold Panning” – try your hand at gold panning, meet at the Interpretive Circle;

Sunday, May 11, meet at the Concession Stand, noon, “Mother’s Day Flower Hike” – find flowers with your mom on this self-guided hike around the park.
