Ms. Vickie Stuart, of Houston, TX, and Mr. John B. Stuart III, of Galveston, TX, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ardis Louise Stuart, of Austin, TX, to James Baldwin Sprouse, of Austin, TX, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Carrington Sprouse Jr., of Rice.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lynn Hester and the late Mr. Victor Hester, of Houston, TX, and Mrs. Doris Stuart, of Richardson, TX, and the late Mr. J. Bruce Stuart, of Richardson, TX.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James B. Jacobs, of Farmville, and Mrs. Jane Sprouse and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Carrington Sprouse Sr., of Sprouses Corner.

Miss Stuart graduated from Memorial High School and The University of Texas. She is employed as a Recruiting & Development Coordinator at Baker Botts LLP.

Mr. Sprouse graduated from Fuqua School and The University of The South. He is employed in the Enterprise Business Development of Telogist.

An April 25 wedding is planned.
