Twin Lakes State Park announces the following events for the week:

Thursday, April 24, 11 a.m. “Predator vs. Prey” – how many animals use their abilities to capture and elude each other; 2 p.m. – “Beaver Hike” – one mile Beaver Trail, meet behind the Concession Stand; 4:30 p.m. “Home Made Plastic Bag Holders” – meet at the Nature Nook to make crafty holders; $2 per person or $6 per family;

Friday, April 25, 11 a.m., “Where Oh Where Has All the Topsoil Gone?” – stop at the Nature Nook to find out how to save this precious commodity; 2 p.m. “Animal Architects” – meet at the Nature Nook to see what kinds of cool houses animals build; 4:30 p.m. “Custom Grocery Bags” – make a custom reusable grocery bag, $2 per person or $6 per family; 7 p.m., “Campfire Cooking” – meet at the campfire circle for camping desserts, $2 per person or $6 per family;

Saturday, April 26, 10 a.m., “Scavenger Hunt” – test your skills in a nature scavenger hunt, meet in the Nature Nook; 11 a.m., “Questionable Edibles” – meet at the Nature Nook for some of the wood’s tasty treats; 4:30 p.m., “Crafty Campers-Cone Critters” – meet at the Nature Nook to create a Pine Cone Pet, $2 per person or $6 per family;

Sunday, April 27, 11 a.m., “Geocaching 101” – an adventurous hike to find treasure stashed at the park, meet in the Concession Stand, $3 per person, $8 per family, or $25 per group; 4:30 p.m. Crafty Campers-Homemade Greenhouses” – meet at the Nature Nook to make a greenhouse out of everyday household items, $2 per person or $6 per family.
