Small Business Community Showcase Planned For April 30

The Farmville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Longwood Small Business Development Center are partnering to host the 2014 Small Business Community Showcase on April 30 at the STEPS Centre. The daylong event gives local businesses an opportunity to network and showcase their goods and services to each other and to the public. Whether you are a business owner or otherwise engaged in the community, the luncheon keynote and afternoon training session will provide a meaningful and refreshing take on leadership.

Building on Longwood’s mission of educating Citizen Leaders, Charles Weathers http://charlesweathers.com/ will deliver a luncheon keynote on “The ABLE Leader.” The luncheon keynote will be followed by President Reveley, who will help celebrate Longwood’s 175th (and Longwood SBDC’s 25th) birthday with a special cake made by ARAMARK.

Building on the “7 Habits” culture expanded by Longwood’s SNVC Leadership Institute, Weathers will lead an optional afternoon breakout session titled “The Business Case for Trust,” based on 7 Habits principles.
