BC JROTC Team Places First In Meet

In October, the Buckingham County JROTC Drill Team traveled to Harrisonburg High School to compete in the “2nd Annual Blue Streak” Drill Competition. The Cadets competed in a total of nine events against six high schools from many parts of Virginia. Every event was judged by accuracy, sharpness, and military bearing. There were a total of three trophies for each event. Varsity competitors of the team competed in four different events. The varsity unarmed regulation platoon, commanded by C/LTC Cody William Reaser placed first , Varsity Color Guard, commanded by C/CSM Austin Phelps placed second, Armed Regulation Squad, commanded by C/SSG Ceara Cullen, placed first , Varsity Unarmed Squad, led by Felicea Londeree, placed second, Varsity Unarmed Inspection, led by C/MSG Dominies, placed third. In the JV category, C/SGT Franco placed second in Unarmed Squad and third in Armed Individual and C/Private Dequann Jeffress placed first in Color Guard. The Cadets won a total of 12 trophies and finished first overall for the Harrisonburg Blue Streak Drill Meet.
