High Bridge Butterfly Walk For Mother's Day Weekend
Published 3:15 pm Tuesday, May 7, 2013
On Saturday, May 11, High Bridge State Park will offer a journey through the world of butterflies. Craig Guthrie, the Park's Chief Ranger, will lead a butterfly walk and point out the various stages of these incredible insects' life.
The walk will be over a mile long so be sure to bring plenty of water, good walking shoes and a camera with an SD card. Pictures taken along the way will be checked out on an electronic picture frame. The best shots win a prize.
Whether you're just getting into butterflies or have already developed a love for them, come to High Bridge Trail to learn about these beautiful creatures. Meet at the River Road parking lot at 10 a.m. A parking fee applies here, but the event is free.
