The Art of Virginia Borrowed Space Gallery will have a Garden Variety reception and show Friday, April 19, 5 to 7 p.m., 104 North Main Street, Farmville, (near the Town Hall).

The show includes refreshments, music, and new displays of art and gifts in the atmosphere of a garden party. The work includes ceramic, drawings, jewelry, paintings, pastels, photography, and special items reflecting the arrival of spring featuring the work of 12 local artists: Diane Aslanis, Ursula Burgess, Marianne Dennison, Cynthia Devlin, Peggy Flippin, Nan Hold, Bart Kendrick, Deborah McClintock, Richard McClintock, Leah Olivier, Jennifer Paxton-Spears, and Pat Thorne.

The event is free and open to the public.
