Sailor's Creek Reflections Series Continues Oct. 14

Published 2:59 pm Tuesday, October 9, 2012

If you have been comfortable with the notion that the outcome of the American Civil War (ACW) was fought and decided in Virginia then hold on to your hat! Sailor's Creek's Park Interpreter Jeff Dean asks you to suspend that idea long enough to allow him to offer you an alternative theory.

Join him Sunday Oct. 14 from 2-4 p.m. on the visitor center patio (indoors if inclement weather). Let Dean attempt to persuade you of a less well known theory as to who, what, where, why, when, and how the final outcome was pre-determined not in the spring of 1865 in Virginia, but in September of 1864, hundreds of miles away from the Old Dominion.

Bring a favorite camp stool or folding chair to the event which is free to the public and appropriate for ages 14 and up.
