Cartersville VFD To Hold Fall Fest On Oct. 20
Cartersville Volunteer Fire Dept. will hold their second Annual Fall Festival and Haunted House Oct. 20 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Cartersville Community House (2168 Cartersville Road). Rain date – Oct. 27.
Activities will include bounce house, costume contest, free children's games, barrel train rides, hayrides, petting zoo and music. The Fire Department will sell their famous firehouse chili as well as hot dogs, burgers, fries, popcorn and snow cones. There will also be a bake sale. Several non-profit vendors will be present displaying exhibits and fire apparatus. Children's costume contest with divisions for ages four, five-eight and nine-12.
The cost is $5 per person, children two and under free. Entry fee includes all activities and haunted house. Bring a chair or blanket.
For the older kids and adults the haunted house opens at dark, a hay wagon will take all who dare to a secret location for an evening of scares and screams. The haunted house has expanded since last year, and it is a bit more terrifying. The haunted house may be a little spooky but it is all in good fun and it benefits the Cartersville Fire Dept.
Because the haunted house was such a huge hit last year, it was decided to open the haunted house Oct. 27 from 7-11 p.m. with parking located at the Cartersville Firehouse (2308 Cartersville Road).
