The Farmville Herald
High Bridge Trail State Park invites everyone to enjoy the full moon and celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, Sept. 29. The Farmville to Rice section of High Bridge Trail State Park will be open until 11 p.m. on this day. Enjoy this rare chance to visit the park after the sun has gone down and cross High Bridge in the moonlight. Come out and listen to fiddle and bluegrass guitar music under the full moon on the bridge performed by the park's “singing ranger”, Ken Cordle, and the park's AmeriCorps volunteer Waverly Garner. Bicyclists must have headlights and tail lights illuminated. Remember to bring drinking water.
