Vows Exchanged

The marriage of Miss Amy Richelle Hux and Marcus Adam Moore took place June 2 in Snidow Chapel at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg.

The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Hux, of Farmville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. J. P. Eckard, the late Mrs. Ila Eckard and the late Mrs. Kate Eckard, of Hickory, NC, and the late Mr. T. J. Hux and Mrs. Jackie Hux, of Roanoke Rapids, NC. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Warren, of Ruckersville, and the late Mr. Danny Moore. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Bowyer, of Lexington.

<!– 1upcrlf2 –>Miss Renae Hux, of Raleigh, NC, served as her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jacki Dumminger, of Lynchburg, Miss Kelly Huber, of Charlottesville, and Miss Jill Nance, of Lynchburg.

Travis Moore, of Richmond, served as his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Danny Snead, of Farmville; Scott Hamner, of Palmyra; and Rob Mallinson, of Charlottesville. Master Landon Moore, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

The Reverend Sylvia Meadows, of Blackstone, officiated at the ceremony. Lay readers were Joel Warren, stepfather of the groom, and Mrs. Sarah Moore, sister-in-law of the groom. Mrs. Mary Potter, “adopted” grandmother of the bride, served as guest book attendant.

Musicians were the Rev. Janet Hawkins, pianist, of Lynchburg, and Miss Ann Key, violinist, of Lynchburg.

The rehearsal dinner, given by the parent of the groom, was held at Charley's Restaurant in Lynchburg. The wedding reception was held at the American Legion Post #16 in Lynchburg.

The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and now reside in Lynchburg.

The bride and groom both graduated from Prince Edward County High School in Farmville in 2001 and 2000, respectively. The bride graduated from Lynchburg College in 2005, and the groom graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute in 2001. The bride is employed at Lovelace, Norvell & Mathews, and the groom is employed at Wooldridge Heating & Air.
