Come out to High Bridge Trail State Park for an exciting journey through the world of butterflies. Waverly Garner, the park's AmeriCorps volunteer will lead a butterfly walk and point out the various stages of these incredible insects' life.
The walk will begin Saturday, August 25, 10 a.m. at the River Road access point. The walk will be over a mile long so be sure to bring plenty of water, good walking shoes, and a camera with an SD card. We'll take some pictures along the way and afterwards check them out on an electronic picture frame. The best shots win a prize.
Whether you're just getting into butterflies or have already developed a love for them, come to High Bridge Trail to learn more. For more information, contact the park office at 434-315-0457 or highbridgetrail@dcr.virginia.gov.
