Published 4:15 pm Thursday, August 16, 2012

Can you survive a day in the life of an American Civil War soldier?

How good are you at setting up a simple American Civil War (ACW) camp site? Dressing an ACW soldier? Finding the ACW general lurking in the nearby woods?

These and other events are part of a two-day program, August 18 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and August 19 (1 p.m to 4 p.m.), starting with registration at the visitor's center, 6541 Saylers Creek Road (Rt. 617), Rice. It is the third in the series of “Ice Cream Sundae Sundays in August” at Sailor's Creek.
