Twin Lakes Announces Upcoming Events

Twin Lakes State Park announces the following events:
Thursday, June 28, 4 p.m., “Plant ID Hike” – hike around Dogwood Hollow Trail to discover some of the park's diverse plant life;
Friday, June 29, 2 p.m., “Crafty Campers” – get crafty at the Nature Nook, learn a few great facts about nature, and make a craft to take home; fee: $2 per person, $6 per family; 4 p.m., “Geocaching 101” – a new way to treasure hunt, $3 per person, $8 per family; 6 p.m., “Family Game Night” – board games, card games, puzzles and more; 8 p.m., “Make New Friends Campfire” – make new friends, sing songs, hear stories and enjoy some s'mores, meet at the campfire circle below Shelter 1;
Saturday, June 30, 1 p.m., “Here Fishy Fishy Fishy” – cast an imaginary line and catch some fun facts about local fish; 2 p.m., “Canoeing 101” – start with the basics, fee for the program is $5 per person, $4 per person for groups of 4+, meet at Goodwin Lake Boat Ramp; 3 p.m., “Gone To The Dogs” – an educational dog hike around the lake, dogs must be on leashes and play well with other pups, “Mut Mits” and doggy treats will be provided; 4 p.m., “Creature Feature” – learn about one of the park's many amazing creatures in today's Creature Feature; 9 p.m., “Owl Prowl”.
Sunday, July 1, 11 a.m., “Creature Feature” – learn about one of the park's creatures; 2 p.m., “Lake Explorers” – dip nets in the water along the shore to see what creatures are there.
All programs meet at the Nature Nook unless otherwise noted Schedule subject to change due to weather.
