Join friends for a Victorian-style luncheon at Longwood University's campus on Thursday, May 17, at noon. The Longwood Center for the Visual Arts is pleased to host its third Tea-Time at Longwood in honor of the Waverly Manson Cole Collection of 19th-Century Decorative Arts. After guests gather at the Rotunda, Longwood's Dr. Kimberley Stern will give a brief talk to set a lively tone for tea. Finger sandwiches, fruit, and pastries will be served in Blackwell Hall. Tickets are $20. Phone the LCVA at 395-2206 for tickets or to learn more about the event. Shown: Meissen Manufactory, Untitled (Teacup and saucer), ca. 20th century, porcelain with polychrome and applied gold, 2.5 x 5.5 inches in diameter, collection of the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts, gift of Dr. Waverly M. Cole in memory of his mother, Sallie Manson Cole (1927), 2004.18.261.35.
