Katherine Diane Bratcher, of Farmville, and Jason Daniel Rhine, of Worden, MT, were united in marriage on August 28 at One Mill Street in Farmville.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Darlene Bratcher and Bonnie Campbell, all of Farmville. The groom is the son of Renee Hayes Rhine, of Worden, MT, and Robert Rhine, of American Falls, ID.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless champagne gown with an elbow length veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses and purple dogwood blossoms.

Miss Morgan Howard, of Norfolk, served as the maid of honor. She wore a blue, purple and silver dress and carried a bouquet of white roses and purple dogwood blossoms.

The groom wore his United States Air Force dress blues.

Kevin Rhine, of Pocatello, Idaho served as his brother's best man. Master Sage Rhine, three-year-old nephew of the groom, of Pocatello, ID, served as ring bearer. Colby Nash, of Burkeville, and Russell Shaffer, of Hopewell, served as Ushers.

All ceremonial flowers were designed and handmade by the bride and the maid of honor. The two-layer wedding cake was created by Ms. Jackie Wallace of Crewe. Ms. Louise Waller, of Farmville, served as the wedding coordinator.

Dr. Edward B. Bratcher, grandfather of the bride, performed the double ring ceremony just before sundown on the lower deck of One Mill Street overlooking the Appomattox River.

The parents of the bride hosted a reception in the One Mill Street Ballroom in Farmville immediately following the ceremony.

Due to Hurricane Irene, the couple's honeymoon was delayed until spring 2012.

Mr. and Mrs. Rhine reside in Williamsburg.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Prince Edward County High School and a 2008 graduate of Longwood University. She is employed as a marketing representative for Busch Gardens in Williamsburg.

The groom is a 2006 graduate of Huntley Project High School in Worden, MT, and attended Montana State University. He is serving as an Airman 1st Class at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton as a Tactical Aircraft Crew Chief and maintains the F-22 Raptor.
