Mr. and Mrs. Donald Knight, of Blackstone, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Constance Brett Knight, to Parker Whitt Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Taylor Jr., of Crewe.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Virginia Cole and the late Mr. J. Gordon Cole Jr., of Blackstone, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Knight, formerly of Crewe. The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Gholson Sr. formerly, of Burkeville, Mrs. Judy Taylor, of Richmond, the late Mr. Norman Taylor, Sr., formerly of Crewe, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Carrington, formerly of Burkeville.

Miss Knight is a graduate of Kenston Forest School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from the University of Virginia. She is employed by Citizens Bank and Trust Company as co-manager of the Blackstone Main Branch.

Mr. Taylor is a graduate of Fuqua School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Bridgewater College. He is employed in his family's business, Crewe Tractor & Finance Company.

An August 25 wedding is planned.
