Fundraiser Set For Camp Loud And Clear

The Camp Loud and Clear Advisory Board is planning the second summer overnight camping experience for deaf and hard of hearing children. Camp Loud and Clear is the only camp held exclusively for deaf and hard of hearing children in the Commonwealth of Virginia and will be held again July 13-15 at the Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center in Appomattox County.
Camp Loud and Clear is sponsored by the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church, Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center, Longwood University, and the Farmville Lions Club as well as other groups and individuals through their contributions and talents. With such support, sponsors will be able to offer a rewarding camping experience to deaf and hard of hearing children whom have not or may not be able to experience summer camp at all.

The Advisory Board has announced that their 2012 Fund Raising Kick-Off will be held at Charley's Waterfront Restaurant in Farmville on February 6. Charley's will be donating 10% of their entire sales for that date to Camp Loud & Clear.

Since Camp Loud & Clear is the only such camp in Virginia, the impact and involvement is statewide, but much of the direct and tangible results will be seen in Southside Virginia. The entire Southside Virginia community is invited to help.
