Weekend Events at Holliday Lake State Park for July 15-18 are as follows:
Friday, July 15, 4 p.m. “Orienteering” in front of the concession stand; 6 p.m. “Civil War Games” at the amphitheater; 8 p.m.; 8 p.m. “Civil War Living History Campfire” at the amphitheater;
Saturday, July 16, 9 a.m. “Canoeing 101” beginning in front of the boat house, $6/paddler, registration required before Friday at 7 p.m.; 1 p.m. “Letterboxing” beginning in front of the concession stand; 2 p.m. “Touch of Nature” beginning at the tent between the beach and the concession stand; 3 p.m. “Water Critters Hike” beginning at the fence by the beach; 6-11:45 p.m. “Night Fishing,” $3 fee along with standard boat fees; 7 p.m. “Canoe Tour” starting in front of the boat house, $6/paddler, registration required;
Sunday, July 17, 9 a.m. “Seining” beginning at the T-Dock; 11 a.m. “Cool Treats” (ice cream in a bag) beginning at the amphitheater; 1 p.m. “Watershed Demo” beginning at the tent between the concession stand and the beach; 2 p.m. “Orienteering” beginning in front of the concession stand; 3 p.m. “Animal Tracks” beginning at the boat launch; 5 p.m. “Butterfly Garden Program,” meet at the Butterfly Garden.
