Harriet Johns Taylor and Brian Richard Vincent were joined in marriage on the rim of the Meadow River Gorge on October 23, 2010. The ceremony took place at the Confluence Resort outside Fayetteville, WV, where the couple resides.

The Reverend Christopher Cunningham, of Johns Memorial Church, officiated.

Mrs. Vincent is a registered nurse and certified emergency nurse at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and of Mountain State University. Harriet is the daughter of Bob and Martha Taylor, of Farmville. She is the granddaughter of the late Frank and Lucy Johns, of Buckingham County, and Betty Taylor and the late Robert Taylor, of High Street.

Mr. Vincent is the manager of Water Stone Outdoors in Fayetteville, WV, and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in geography at Concord University. Brian is the son of Debra Vincent Alitz, of West Point, NY, and the late LTC Richard L. Vincent. He is the grandson of Charles and Ruth Vincent, of Carbondale, IL, and Kenneth Rhodes and late Patricia Rhodes, of Poughkeepsie, NY.

An outdoor reception followed the ceremony.
