Vows Exchanged

Katherine Aleska McLane, daughter of Emmett and Robin McLane, of Farmville, and Charles Edwin Robertson, son of Charles and Ann Robertson, of Schuyler, were married August 7 at Farmville United Methodist Church.
The Reverend Sylvia Meadows and the Reverend Dr. Paul Baker officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Matron of honor was Sarah Stables McIntosh, cousin of the bride, of Arlington. Bridesmaids were Charlotte Robertson, sister of the groom, of Washington, DC; Amanda Crissup, of Denver, CO; and Kathleen Shugart, of Charlottesville. Flower girl was Skyler Pettigrew Pusser, cousin of the bride, of Richmond.
Owen Allen, of Denver, CO, was best man. Groomspeople were Clint McLane, brother of the bride, of Farmville; Paul Kartage, of Virginia Beach; and Samantha Krause, of Frederickburg. Ushers were David Stables IV, cousin of the bride, of Richmond; and James Foster, of Atlanta, GA. Ring bearer was Joshua Bolt, of Farmville.
Reader was Shawn Carlson, of Farmville.
The reception was held at the Gee Price Center at Fuqua School.
Katie is the granddaughter of David and Bobbie Stables and Helen McLane, of Farmville. She is a graduate of Prince Edward County High School and Mary Washington University. She recently finished her graduate degree in Speech and Communication Disorders at Longwood University and is employed as a speech therapist by Loudoun County Schools.
Charles is a graduate of Fairfax County Schools and Mary Washington University. He is also employed by Loudoun County Schools.
The couple live in Ashburn.
