Thirteen classmates (and five spouses) who graduated from Farmville High School in 1947, 1948, and 1949 met Oct. 3 at Shoney's in Farmville for lunch. Mrs. Flora Woodson Bolt was elected to serve as chairman for the next reunion. Others volunteered to work on committees: Mike Lafoon, Mrs. Shirley Newman Fowlkes, Mrs. Alice Linkins Bartlett, Mrs. Lou Newman Stanley, and Mrs. Edna Clabough Wood. Mrs. Earl (Nancy) Mottley's committee will meet again on Dec. 1 at Shoney's at noon to start making plans for a joint reunion in June 2011.
