Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Palmore, of Buckingham, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Jessica Marie Palmore, to Robert Chad Price, son of Mr. Robert Price, of Charlottesville, and Judy H. Price, of Waynesboro.

Jessica is the granddaughter of Ms. Hilda S. Newton, of New Canton, and the late Thomas P. Smith Sr, and Mr. and Mrs Freddie Palmore Sr., of Buckingham.

Chad is the grandson of Ms. Rebecca Henderson, of Waynesboro, and the late Russell Henderson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Price, of Marion.

Jessica is a 2008 graduate of Southside Virginia Community College and a 2009 graduate of Buckingham County High School. She is currently a self-employed barber.

Chad is a 2001 graduate of Albemarle County High School. He is currently employed at VDOT Bridge Crew of Charlottesville.

The couple plans to wed in September 2010 at Welcome Wesleyan Church in New Canton.
