Fuqua School Welcomes New Faculty Members

Niels Kiewiet de Jonge (Mr. K) joins the upper school faculty teaching history and philosophy. Recently retired from Prince Edward County public schools, Mr. K holds an undergraduate degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a master's in education from Duquesne University.
A 2005 graduate of Fuqua School, Sierra Smith returns to her alma mater as lower school science lab teacher and upper school drama teacher. She holds a B.A. degree in biology with a concentration in environmental studies from Hollins University, and a master's in elementary education from Longwood University. Ms. Smith has a varied background in environmental projects, including her work as project manager for endangered species with The Ward Burton Wildlife Federation.
Joining the middle school faculty teaching math is Lynne Boggs. She most recently taught in Cumberland for 11 years but also has taught at New Life Christian Academy, Amelia Academy, and Huguenot Academy. Mrs. Boggs received her undergraduate degree from VCU, and her masters in math education from Cambridge College.
