Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Ferguson, of Troutville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Paula Michelle, to Benjamin Francis Louis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Louis, of Buckingham.

Paula is the granddaughter of Doris Box Ferguson and the late Kenneth Ferguson and David Welcher and the late Martha Guynn Welcher.

Benjamin is the grandson of the late Mary Louis Loeber and L. Francis Louis and the late William and Margaret Pennington.

Paula will receive her Master’s in speech language pathology in May from Radford University. Benjamin is pursuing his doctorate degree in planning, globalization and governance at Virginia Tech.

An October wedding is planned.
