Chamber’s Holiday House Tour returns in Farmville next week

Get an up-close look at Christmas decorations and historical homes during the seventh annual Farmville Area Chamber of Commerce Holiday House Tour.
The tour will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, with a handful of homes in Farmville. During the tour, walk through beautiful and historic homes to see decorations for the holidays and learn about the history of each home.
“The Holiday House Tour is a fun and festive way to share the joy of the holiday season, allowing friends, family and neighbors to enjoy the unique decorations of each beautiful home and celebrate together,” said Anne Tyler Paulek, executive director of the Farmville Area Chamber of Commerce.

To start the tour, check in at the Centra Hospitality House 900 High St., and pick up a tour guide to show where the participating homes are located. From there, tour-goers can visit the participating homes at 800 Second Ave., 303 Second Ave., 615 First Ave., 400 Fourth Ave., 900 Fourth Ave., 1130 Barrow St., 203 Fayette St. and 306 Beech St.
“The Holiday House Tour Guides will include information about each home and the QR Code for a walking map,” said Paulek. “This is a self-guided tour. Volunteers will be ready to greet you at each home.”
Along with raising funds for the Farmville Area Chamber of Commerce, a portion of the proceeds will support PE Kids and raise awareness around PE Kids and their mission to help fill the needs of students attending Prince Edward County Elementary, Middle and High School. This organization provides students with various needs, including field trip money, appropriate clothing and hygiene items to name a few.
