Options abound for Easter worship

Mount Calvary Baptist Church,located at 1193 Cartersville Road in Cartersville, will host Easter services on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Pastor-elect Clifford Temple, Jr. and the entire congregation would like to invite all to attend.

The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors meeting dates are as follows: The 2018-19 budget public hearing scheduled for April 3 has been moved to April 10. The regular monthly meeting has been changed from April 10 to April 17. Both meetings will be held at 7 p.m. in the Cumberland County Circuit Courtroom.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a nonprofit organization, will be hosting its regular monthly meeting on Monday at 5 p.m. at Hatcher Baptist Church of Cumberland. All members are asked to bring a covered dish for the meal. Following this will be the April program which will feature the annual flower/plant exchange. Buckingham Baptist Church, located on U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn Highway, will be hosting Easter weekend as follows: Good Friday Services on Friday at 7 p.m., Take a walk through the Holy Week and celebrate the Lord’s Table. Saturday, Easter egg Hunt and Spring Festival at 2 p.m.. Easter Sunday, Sunrise Services, to begin at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast in the church fellowship hall followed by Sunday School and no morning worship. Pastor Bill Gillespie and the entire congregation invites all to attend.

Cedar Baptist Church, located at 3932 Bell Road in Dillwyn, will be hosting Easter weekend activities as follows: Good Friday Services Friday at 7 p.m. There will be an Easter egg Hunt on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. with lunch served. On Easter Sunday, there will be a Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. followed by breakfast in the fellowship hall. There will be no Sunday School and worship service will be at 8 a.m. with no 11 a.m. service. Pastor Tommy Armstrong and the entire congregation cordially invites everyone to attend.

The 2018 Spring Miles Family Reunion will be held on Saturday, April 7, at 1 p.m. at the Golden Corral in Midlothian. All family members and their guests are cordially invited to attend.

Victory Baptist Church, located at 157 Dove Lane, Spout Springs, will be hosting Easter Sunrise Services on Sunday at 7 a.m. Following this will be breakfast and an Easter egg hunt at the Woodman of the World building located at 365 Harold Street in Appomattox.
