Fellowship association meeting set

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a nonprofit organization, will host its regular monthly meeting Monday at 5 p.m. at Cedar Baptist Church, located at 3932 Bell Road north of Dillwyn.
All members are asked to bring a covered dish for the meal. This will be followed by the September program featuring Scottie Crews, of Buckingham, giving his testimony of his tragic accident a few years ago and how God spared his life.

Victory Baptist Church, located at 157 Dove Lane in Spout Springs, will host a benefit yard and bake sale on the church grounds to benefit the church building fund for a future home for Victory Baptist Church on Sept. 16 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

Shiloh New Covenant Church, located at 665 Anderson Highway, in partnership with the Central Virginia FeedMore Program, will operate the Shiloh New Covenant Food Pantry Commodity Supplemental Food Program for seniors age 60 and older.
Food will be distributed Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. and organizers will be accepting applications for new clients, for all seniors 60 and older who are Cumberland County residents and meet specific income levels. You must bring a form of ID and proof of your monthly income. Also when you become qualified for this food program, you will be contacted by phone from the food bank director when you can start your pick up for the food.

All are welcome to the eleventh annual Fellowship Gospel Singing featuring Smokey Wilson and Mark Bishop. This will take place at Becky and Linda’s Powell’s home Sept. 15 from 5-9 p.m. located off of U.S. Route 15 North on Route 709. Go a quarter mile to the doublewide on the right. Food and drinks will be provided. All you will need is a chair and a desire for a blessing. Donations are accepted and appreciated. Come and join us for a time of uplifting, praise and fellowship with friends and family. Please bring a friend and remember to RSVP at (434) 315-0322 with number of guests. We hope to see you there.

Sunday school will begin at 10 a.m. followed by morning worship at 10:30 a.m. The event will feature bluegrass gospel artist “The Old Time Gospel Singers,” of Crewe.
