Benefit for food bank is Saturday

Happy birthday wishes are sent out this week to the following: Sue Lipscomb, of Cumberland, Tuesday; Clarence Walters, of Powhatan, and Walter Stimpson, 99, of Farmville, both celebrating Thursday.
The community is invited to the Cumberland County Community Food Bank and Backyard Outlaws Car, Truck and Bike Show on Saturday at Jerry and Doris Seal’s residence located at 36 Tarwallet Road, in Cumberland. There will be music, food and fun. Registration will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be a $5 admission and registration fee per person. All makes and models are welcome of race cars, motorcycles, modified big wheels, antique/original and trucks. There will be first-, second- and third-place awards. Belated happy birthday wishes go out this week to Pauline Shores, of Cartersville, who celebrated her birthday Sunday and happy belated anniversary wishes go out to Wilson and Pauline Shores who have been married 67 years as of Tuesday. Also, happy anniversary wishes go out this week to Wayne and Sue Lipscomb, of Cumberland, on Monday.
