Do’s and don’ts of human food for dogs: Broccoli is OK for dogs in small quantities. It is high in fiber and vitamin C, but it also contains isothiocyanates that can cause mild to potentially severe gastric irritation and the stalks can obstruct the esophagus.

Celery is good for dogs. It contains vitamins A, B and C. It also promotes a healthy heart and fights cancer and freshens the breath.

Note: Election Day is Tuesday. Polls are open from 6 a.m.-7 p.m.
