Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Schaubach, of Crewe, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kirsten Nicole Schaubach, to Robert E. “Bobby” Bowen III.

Bobby is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Bowen Jr. of Burkeville.

Kirsten is a 2008 graduate of Fuqua School and a 2012 graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is currently employed at Longwood University.

Bobby graduated in 2007 from Nottoway County High School. He is employed at Norfolk Southern Railway.

Kirsten’s paternal grandparents are Elizabeth K. Schaubach and the late Eddie M. Schaubach of Crewe. Her maternal grandparents are Andrew David Jamerson Sr. and the late Phyllis A. Jamerson of Dillwyn.

Bobby’s paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Bowen Sr., of Burkeville, and his maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stegall, of Warrenton, N.C.

A Sept. 10 wedding is planned.
