Skip and Gail Williams, of Blackstone, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Austin Elizabeth, to Steven Duane Matney, son of Tim and Linda Matney, of Cumberland.

Austin is the paternal granddaughter of Helen Williams and the late Paul Williams, of Blackstone. She is the maternal granddaughter of Lela Southard and the late Charles Southard, of Harrisonburg. Steven is the maternal grandson of Ronald “Bo” and Lucy Wilson, of Cumberland.
Austin is 2013 graduate of Southside Virginia Community College where she received her certificate of studies in Agribusiness. Agrarian Veterinary Services of Buckingham will be her employer.

Steven is a 2012 graduate of Southeast Lineman Training Center in Trenton, Ga. He is employed by Central Virginia Electric Co-op of Appomattox as an apprentice lineman.
A September wedding is planned in Blackstone.
