Summer Programs at Holliday Lake State Park

(Appomattox)… This summer at Holliday Lake State Park, we are excited to offer some amazing programs that showcase the diverse underwater life of the lake. Fridays at 9 p.m. we will illuminate the water with a bright light during our Beneath the Surface program to see fish, turtles, and aquatic insects. Join us Saturdays at 3 p.m. for our Gone Fishing program where you will learn to bait, cast, and catch. Come Sundays at 1 p.m. to have the chance to search the shore for fish with different nets during our Living on the Edge program. Cool off after these events with a swim in the lake; the beach will be open from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. Check our website (www.virginiastateparks.gov) for our complete event listing. For program questions and information please contact the Park Office at 434-248-6308 or by emailing hollidaylake@dcr.virginia.gov.
