Back on Tuesday, April 2, the Moton Museum held a community prayer breakfast, welcoming in people from all over Farmville and Prince Edward County. The longest running program that the museum holds each year, this marked the second to last event of the “season”.

Pictured here, from left, are the prayer leaders who attended, including Elder Warren Reid, Vice President, Bland Reid Funeral Home; Diane Stubbins, Fuqua Academy; Barbara Hicks; Barbara Springs; Prince Edward County Deputy Treasurer Ladybird Ligon and Brenda Richards, Administrative Assistance, CENTRA CSH.

The breakfasts, sponsored by Centra Southside Community Hospital, are free and open to the public. They begin at 7:30 a.m. inside the Moton Museum auditorium. Each breakfast offers an opportunity for individuals from all walks of life to unite in prayer, reflecting on topics that resonate with the community’s needs and aspirations. The next one on May 2 will coincide this year with the National Day of Prayer.
