Mrs. Edna C. King, 85 Retired ASC Agent

August 24 – Mrs. Edna Cosner King, 85, of Farmville, widow of Alonzo Brodus King, died Thursday, August 19, 2004, in Farmville.

Born in Kent Store, VA, she was the daughter of Adam L. and Anna Grubbs Cosner.

Mrs. King was a retired Stabilization Agent with the American Stabilization Conservation and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Farmville.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Duey of Crystal River, FL and Linda Jackson of Inola, OK; three sisters, Hazel Mu of Sun City, SC, Merle Garner of Palmyra and Mary Ann Wood of Saluda; four brothers, Robbie Cosner of Palmyra, Lawrence Cosner, Gussie Cosner, and Kenneth Cosner, all of Kent Store; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorial services were held 4 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church of Farmville. Arrangements were by Cremation Society of Virginia.
