Raiders earn Best of the Best spot

The Buckingham High JROTC recently competed in their second Best of the Best Raider Qualifier at Howard High School, located in Ellicott City, Maryland. The Co-Ed Team led by Junior Maria Portillo qualified for Best of the Best Raider, to be held at Buckingham High School in March of 2025 by placing overall first place. The Raiders dominated by placing either first or second in the following events: first in the five kilometer run, rope bridge, and second in cross country rescue, team physical fitness challenge and humvee pull. Senior Liz Stevens led the 2nd Co-Ed Team to a third place finish in rope bridge. The Raiders will be at Fort Knox, Kentucky Oct. 24-27 to make their 7th appearance on the national level for Raider Nationals.
