Fall bird migration at Bear Creek

Starting on Sept. 17 at 12:30 p.m. through the end of October on Tuesday afternoons, Bear Creek Lake State Park will offer Backyard Bird Feeding. Join a ranger at the Acorn Loop Shelter to discuss seed and suet varieties and feeder types, as well as problem-solving for unwarranted wildlife feeding. At the end of the program you’ll make a take-home feeder to get your bird feeding started.

The program is free, but daily parking fees apply. For more event information, call (804) 492-4410.
