Brenda Ballowe Gough, 69, of Dillwyn, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2020 with her devoted husband of 26 years, William Addison Gough, by her side.

Brenda was born to the late Norman Earl (Pete) and Minnie Bell Ragland Ballowe.

Brenda’s lifelong dream was to become a registered nurse. Addison supported her throughout school and she worked hard and in 2003 she made her dream come true. Brenda used her profession as a Registered Nurse to do what she loved most, caring for people. She enjoyed working in the Emergency Room at Johnston-Willis Hospital and loved working with her patients through Home Recovery Home Health, Inc.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Norman Earl Ballowe, Jr.

Brenda leaves behind her loving husband, Addison; her children, Vanessa Sharpe (Blake), Kimberly Boudet (Bert), Rodney Orange (Jenifer); her grandchildren, Ryan Sharpe (Jackie), Cody and Aaron Orange. Brenda also leaves behind, sisters and brothers, countless nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, aunt and uncles.

Brenda also leaves behind her special “fur babies” Molly, Inez and Aaron.

Brenda will be greatly missed by all.

A private graveside service was held at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
