JANUARY 27 – Ruby Virginia Davis Woodson, 81, of Farmville, died Saturday, January 24,2004.

She was born April 29, 1922 in Free Union, a daughter of the late Bernard S. and Sallie Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Franklin C. Woodson; a daughter, Carol Chandler of Farmville; a son, Donald F. Woodson of Cedar Hill, TX; three grandchildren, Courtney Warren of Victoria, Andy Chandler of Harrisonburg and Amanda Chandler of Farmville; one step grandchild, Micah Woodson of Cedar Hill, TX; one great-grandson, Matthew Warren; one great-step grandson, Michael Warren both of Victoria and a brother, Chester Davis of Palmyra.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Johns Memorial Episcopal Church, Farmville, with interment at 2 p.m. in Holly Memorial Gardens, Charlottesville.

The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home, Farmville.
