Sarah Large of Buckingham County was this year’s Virginia Farm Bureau Federation (VFBF) Achievement Award runner-up. Large and her husband, Frankie, finish an average of 20,000 swine annually for Smithfield Foods and own a cow-calf beef cattle operation. She serves on the VFBF Women’s Leadership Committee and is a Buckingham County Farm Bureau board member. She will receive $500 from Farm Bureau and a travel package to the AFBF Annual Convention.

With 129,000 members in 88 county Farm Bureaus, VFBF is Virginia’s largest farmers’ advocacy group.
