Sandra Harris Blanks, 80, of Dillwyn passed peacefully at home on December 7, 2019. She was born December 26, 1938, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Jack and Hazel Harris. Sandra was the former Treasurer of Buckingham County.

Sandra is survived by her husband, James L. Blanks; two daughters, Julie B. O’Bryant and her husband, Jimmie and Jackie B. Ponton; two granddaughters, Holly P. Coleman and husband Colby and Kristen O’Bryant; two sisters, Jacquelyn H. Jones and husband Sonny and Patricia Harris and David Burg; brother, William H. “Billy” Harris and wife Nancy and nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends. Sandra was looking forward to the birth of her first great- granddaughter in February 2020.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn with interment in the St. Andrews Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Andrews Baptist Church or First Baptist Church Youth Ministry.
