Prince Edward 50, Cumberland 0 — Final

Prince Edward County High School’s varsity football team ended its 2019 season on a bright note with a definitive 50-0 victory over visiting Cumberland County High School on Friday, Nov. 8, while the Dukes (0-10) managed to establish some key building blocks for the future.

Buckingham 29, Nottoway 14 — Final

Buckingham County High School’s varsity football held off a scrappy Nottoway High School football team Friday night, Nov. 8, as the Knights scored late to put the game away with a 29-14 final score. Buckingham is now 9-1 going into the first round of the Region 2B tourney.

No. 3 St. Michael the Archangel 39, No. 2 Fuqua 22 — Final

Fuqua School’s varsity football team played visiting St. Michael the Archangel Catholic High School on Friday, Nov. 8, in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division III state semifinals, and the Warriors were able to avenge a 43-41 regular season loss to the Falcons by pulling away in the second half for a 39-22 victory. Fuqua finished the year with a 9-2 overall record.
