Fall is the time of year to clean off and put most garden-related tools and supplies away for the winter. Caring for your garden hand tools will be the topic of the Nov. 7 Lunch and Learn program conducted by the Heart of Virginia Master Gardeners (HOVMG).

Lou Ann Dumminger, a master gardener, will discuss and demonstrate maintenance, cleaning, sharpening and storage of shovels, loppers, pruners and other hand tools.

The HOVMG Lunch and Learn Program will be held at noon, at the Prince Edward Extension Office, 100 Dominion Drive, Farmville.

Speaker, Dumminger, is a longtime resident of Farmville, a master gardener, a member of Ruth Adams Garden Club, the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs and the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
