Sorority awards scholarships

Jasia Miles, a 2019 honor graduate of Amelia County High School, and Salma Muhammad, a 2019 honor graduate of Prince Edward County High School, are the recipients of the 2019 Hall-Harris Scholarship awarded by the Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

Miles will be attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg in the fall. Muhammad will be attending Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

Kayla Harris, a 2018 honor graduate of Amelia County High School, was the 2018 Kappa Rho Omega Chapter’s scholarship recipient. She is currently attending Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and is studying medicine and biological science.

Amari Butler, a 2018 honor graduate of Buckingham County High School, was also a recipient of the Kappa Rho Omega Chapter’s 2018 scholarship. She is attending Norfolk State University in Norfolk.
