John Levy Davis, 74, of Cumberland, son of the late Dale and Virginia Davis, passed away peacefully September 5, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Margie; son, Josh Niday of Cumberland; daughter, Maretta Doran-Briggs of New Jersey; granddaughter, Casey; he was “Papa John” and loved by Cheyenne and Chase Cadd; brothers, Edwin (Nancy), Jerry both of Powhatan; sisters, Mary Jane Dabney, Irene Wyatt (Julian) both of Cumberland; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Joe Cadd; brother, Jimmy Davis (Bonita).

The family will receive friends Friday, September 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt.60), Powhatan.
