JANUARY 31 – Ruth Bailey Foutz, 91, of Farmville, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013. She was born January 3, 1922 in Wylliesburg to the late Burl Witt and Lottie Owen Foutz. Mrs. Foutz loved cooking and cleaning for the benefit of her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Janice Harris (Rodney) of Charlotte Court House, Judy Orange (William) of Farmville, Serene Routt and special friend (Karl) of Farmville, Cathy Miller (Buster) of Rice and William Scruggs (Gale) of Ashland; eight grandchildren, Brandy Bernier of Farmville, Jessica Passieux of Keysville, Randy Joe Barr Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Logan Route of Farmville, Lindsey Bruce of Rice, Leann Flowers of Rice, Lydia Flowers of Rice and Hunter Harris of Charlotte Court House and three great-grandchildren, Sydney Bernier, Gage Bernier and Andrew Flowers.

A funeral service was held Saturday, January 26 at New Life Assembly of God with interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
