APRIL 27 – Robert E. Abington, 72, of Farmvllle, died Friday, April 23,2004.

He was born April 15, 1932 In Missouri, a son of the late Oliver Butler and Manilla Middieton Abington.

Mr. Abington served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He was a retired machinist from Phillip Morris, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Abington; two daughters, Donna Hensley and her husband, Jerry and Geneva John-son and her husband, Jimmie; grandsons, Lee Hensley and Keith Johnson; brother, Ramon Abington; sister, Marion Abington and a host of other relatives and many caring and loving friends.

A funeral service was held today (Tuesday) at 3 p.m. in Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia.

Shorter Funeral Home, Farmvllle, was in charge of arrangements.
