HOPEWELL, April 27 – Margaret Mitchell Pead, 82, of Hopewell, died Friday, April 23, 2004.

She was a native of Charlotte County, born the daughter of the late Eddie and Amanda Mitchell.

Mrs. Pead was a retired Lab Technician from Stone Container, formerly Continental Can, and a longtime member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

She is survived by five children, Anne Libron and husband, John, Gloria Watkins and husband, Charlie, Merle Pead and wife, Anita, Betty Sue Angle and husband, Terry, Eddie Pead and wife, Elizabeth; ten grandchildren, Christopher Ervin, Mitzi, Mindy and Cameron Watkins, Noelle and Dustin Pead. Chad and Teri Blair Angle. Michael and Daniel Pead; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Hilda Johnson and one brother, Hugh Mitchell. She was preceded in death by a grandson, William Howard Ervin, III.

A funeral service was held today (Tuesday) at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Ken Hendricks officiating. interment followed in Bermuda Memorial Park.
