The Public Works Department will be closed Monday in observance of Veterans Day, according to a Wednesday press release from the Town of Farmville.

The release noted that changes to the garbage/cardboard collection schedule are as follows: On Monday, there will be no residential, business or call-in pickup; on Tuesday, there will be Monday and Tuesday residential garbage, miscellaneous call-in, business garbage and cardboard pickup; on Wednesday, there will be regular residential garbage pickup, residential cardboard call-in and business recycling, but no business garbage or cardboard pickup; Thursday will feature regular routes; on Friday, there will be business garbage and cardboard collection.
