BUCKINGHAM, Oct. 26 – Ray Wallace Lann, 61, of Buckingham, died Saturday, October 23, 2004 in Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville.

He was born March 24, 1943, a son of the late Nick M. Lann, Sr. and Ruby W. Lann.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Lann; his children and their spouses, Ray Wallace Lann, Jr. and Chrissy, Mary Jane Elder and Randy, Steve Miller Lann and Lisa, Rodney Wayne Lann and Crystal Renae Lann; four stepchildren, Leslie Wade Fitzgerald, Susan Day Rodgers, Jenny and Lisa Stinson; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lann, Brandon Elder, Ashley Elder. R. J. Lann, Anita Lann and Kali Ann Lann; a brother, Herbert Lann of Dillwyn and two sisters. Ruby L. Bryant of Altavista and Elizabeth Plunkett of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Nick, Jr., James Gene and Edgar Lann and his sisters, Florence L. Wiseman, Mable L. Stimpson and Betty L. Stinson.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in Buckingham Community Cemetery.
